Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be 14 years or older to use Quick Speaking. We ask for your date of birth during onboarding and refuse sign-up below that age; there is no parental-consent path. Misstating your date of birth to bypass this check violates these Terms.

2. Accounts and sign-in

You sign in with Apple Sign In or Google Sign In only — there is no password to manage. We store your sign-in provider and its account identifier; the real name from your provider is never stored or shown to anyone. Other learners only ever see your nickname and avatar, which are auto-generated at sign-up and editable in My Page. You are responsible for keeping your Apple or Google account secure.

3. The service

Quick Speaking provides a fixed English curriculum of speaking lessons (Voca Booster, Grammar Master, and Speaking Practice). Each lesson is a sequence of read-aloud drills graded by speech recognition, supported by a daily streak and a weekly league among pools of 10 learners. We may update, replace, or reorder lesson content at any time; your progress is kept against the current curriculum.

4. Your voice stays on your device

Speech recognition and grading run entirely on your device, using the platform's built-in speech recognizer or a bundled offline recognizer. Your voice is never uploaded, streamed, transcribed, or stored by our servers on any path. Our servers receive only the graded result of each sentence — a pass/fail verdict and per-word results. 5. Subscriptions and free trial

Quick Speaking is an auto-renewing monthly subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play, starting with a 7-day free trial:

• The trial converts automatically to a paid subscription at trial end unless you cancel; we remind you in the app and by push notification about 24 hours before the first charge
• The store collects and manages your payment method — we never handle card data; refunds follow App Store / Google Play policies
• Cancel anytime: the in-app cancellation entry takes you to your store's subscription settings, where the cancellation is completed
• If a renewal charge fails, access continues through the store's billing-retry / grace period and ends only when the store expires the subscription
• If your subscription lapses, your progress, streak, and lesson history stay visible read-only; lessons lock until you resubscribe, and nothing is deleted — full access restores once the store confirms an active subscription

6. Fair use

You agree not to abuse the service: no automated play, score manipulation, attempts to disrupt the service or the weekly league, or reverse engineering of the app. We apply server-side rate limits and may remove anomalous league results or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Content ownership

All curriculum content — lessons, sentences, translations, and reference audio — belongs to Quick Speaking or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license to use it within the app. Your nickname and avatar remain yours; you grant us a license to display them to other learners in the league while your account exists.

8. Privacy and consent

Our handling of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. At sign-up, the Terms of Service consent also covers the transfer of your account data and graded results to our servers in Seoul, South Korea, and product-analytics processing — disclosed for Vietnamese users in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law (Law 91/2025). Your voice is not transferred anywhere; it never leaves your device.

9. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from My Page in the app. Deletion takes effect immediately, with a 30-day window during which signing back in restores your account in full; after 30 days your data is permanently deleted. See Account Deletion for exactly what is deleted and retained.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the product or the law changes. For material changes, we will notify you in the app before they take effect; continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the new version. Questions? Contact support@quick-speaking.com.
